Lettuce Wrapped Quarter Pounder

Serves 2:

  • Nutritional info per serving:
    • Carbs:                   4 grams
    • Fats :                    34 grams
    • Protein:               25 grams
    • Prep time:             5 minutes
    • Cooking time:      35 minutes

    Ingredients:

    • 1/2 lb ground beef
    • 2 strips of bacon
    • 2 tbsp jalapenos
    • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
    • 1 large plum tomato
    • 1 avocado (mashed)
    • 1 onion
    • 1 tbsp sriracha
    • 2 lettuce leaves
    • 1 egg
    • 2 tbsp butter
    • ½ tsp salt & pepper

    Instructions:

    1. Knead the meat for a few minutes, this makes the meat sticky and keeps it together when adding all your ingredients to it.
    2. Dice & chop your ingredients very finely.
    3. Add your diced onion, sriracha, egg & salt to the meat and knead it again for a few minutes to mix all the ingredients together well.
    4. Split your meat in half & flatten with a spatula to cook evenly.
    5. Throw your patties on the pan. After 5 mins, flip your patties. Slice two large sections on onions. If you want carmelised onions, throw your onions on when you are flipping the burgers.
    6. Add 2 strips of bacon and cook for 5 mins.
    7. Lay out two big lettuce leaves, put a spread of mayonnaise on each and place your patties on them. Place your choice of toppings on each. We recommend tomatoes, onions, mashed avocado, bacon & jalapenos.
