Spiced Almonds

Serves 10:

  • Nutritional Info per slice:
    • Carbs:              1 gram
    • Fats :               8 grams
    • Protein:            4 grams
    • Prep time:           5 minutes
    • Cooking time:       10 minutes

    Ingredients:

    • 150 grams of almonds
    • 1 medium egg
    • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
    • 1 teaspoon allspice
    • ½ teaspoon xylitol

    Directions:

    1. Preheat oven to 160 C/320 F
    2. Whisk egg whites in a bowl until frothy
    3. Mix almonds in egg mixture until fully coated and allow to sit for 5 minutes
    4. Mix the spices and sweetener and add to egg mix, mix the spice mix with almonds thoroughly
    5. Grease baking tray and spread almond mix evenly on it.
    6. Bake almonds for 10 minutes, turning almonds over after 5 minutes.
    7. Allow almonds to dry out fully before storing in a sealed jar for up to 2 weeks.
